The Landing Dance - Clea Arrieta

Clea’s study began at the Vancouver Tap Dance Society under the tutelage of Mika Komatsu. She later joined the Vancouver Tap Dance Society’s youth ensemble TapCo touring throughout BC with Artstarts. After receiving a scholarship in 2011, Clea participated in an intensive tap program for young professionals directed by Dianne Walker at the renowned Jacobs Pillow Festival. She then later performed at the Kennedy Centre in Washington DC in 2012. In addition to these performance opportunities, she has also attended the LA Tap Festival, Chicago Human Rhythm Project, and Vancouver International Tap Festival. These festival’s gave her the chance to work with Michelle Dorrance, Derrick Grant, and many other artists. A love of tap dance is what she strives to provide for her students through her enthusiasm and focus on the history of the art.
