Born and raised in the Greater Vancouver Area, Sarah received her post-graduate training in San Francisco at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program. During her time there, Sarah took part in the creation of eight new works and worked closely with artists such as: Alonzo King, Shannon Gillen, Sidra Bell, David Harvey, Maurya Kerr, Sandrine Cassini, Uri Sands and Gregory Dawson, all of whom have been very influential on her as an artist. In 2015, Sarah performed the Nutcracker with the Alameda Civic Ballet Company starting as a corps de ballet member and was then later promoted to a soloist. Sarah apprenticed with Amber-Funk Barton’s the response. during the fall of 2016. During that time; she also joined Marissa Wongs’s TWObigsteps Collective and has continued to dance with them this season. Sarah has performed with Heather Dotto in Small Stage 35: Romeo and Juliet, Jennifer Mcleish-Lewis with OFF VIDF in “The Field” and most recently has work with Heather Laura Gray in her new work for Vancouver’s Cherry Blossom Festival.
