Caitlin Griffin


Caitlin GriffinCaitlin Griffin is a Toronto born ballet and contemporary dancer and choreographer currently based in Vancouver BC. A graduate of The Goh Ballet Academy and programs at Boston Ballet and Ballet BC, she has performed with companies across Canada including Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, MOVE: the company, Ontario Ballet Theatre and OMO Modern Dance Company. Caitlin was a soloist with touring company Ballet de Printemps, and has worked closely with renowned coaches and choreographers including Henry Daniel, Kevin Bergsma, Anna Marie Holmes and Jean Grand-Maitre. Caitlin’s film work includes Sony Pictures feature Centre Stage: Turn it Up, dance film Codependence and several music videos.  Caitlin was a featured professional dancer in the XXI Winter Olympic Opening Ceremonies in Sacred Grove alongside Alberta Ballet and accompanied by Sarah McLachlan.

Also an emerging choreographer, Caitlin’s work has been presented by MOVE: the company, Vancouver’s 12 Minutes Max, Merge, The Vancouver Global Dance Project, Toronto's Dance 2 Danse Festival (winner of an Audience Choice Award), and Suddenly Dance Theatre's ROMP! Festival in Victoria. Caitlin is also the co-creator of The Science of Dance Technique and Injury Prevention workshop with Dr. Carla Cupido.  Caitlin has recently been awarded an artistic residency at The Landing Dance Centre in Vancouver where she will be creating her next work.
