This division is for dancers who want to put in not only the effort, but also the time to achieve excellence in the art that they love. Dancers perform numerous times and train intensely throughout the year.

Focuses

• Reinforcing a strong work ethic and group dynamic
• Setting goals and tasks to enhance self-confidence and self-worth
• Allowing each dancer to access and express their individual movement and artistic style
• Enhancing the love, passion and drive for dance in its entirety
• Expanding , polishing and constantly challenging the dancers’ movement vocabulary
• Developing a reputation as strong, valuable future members of the professional community

Opportunities

• Performing at assorted local arts/entertainment events
• Working with respected guest faculty and choreographers from the professional community
• Performing repertory choreography and their own work at a selection of local competitions
• Performing repertory choreography as well as their own work at the annual presentation of Dance Vancouver
• Can take part in the spring performance workshop to learn choreography to perform at the annual presentation of Dance Vancouver
• Assorted optional national and international opportunities
