Hip Hop Spotlight dancers compete up to three times per year, attend local conventions and performs in both The Landing Dance Centre’s Advanced Showcase ‘Launch’ and year-end performance ‘Dance Vancouver’, as well as other community events throughout the year.
Dancers in the Hip Hop Spotlight program can be entering their first few years or competition or seasoned performers, they may be working towards a Company placement or simply LOVE hip hop! Dancers in this advanced hip hop program often combine Spotlight genres such as tap or acro. They are eager to get into the classroom to try new skills and step out from the wings to perform on stage. They value both honing in on their technical foundation and breaking from the mould for impromptu freestyle dance parties!
